Letter from Professor Hecht

Scientific Support Document for European Citizens' Initiative "Stop (((5G))) – Stay Connected but Protected"

With my signature under this public appeal of the European Citizens' Initiative "Stop (((5G))) – Stay Connected but Protected" – based on my scientific findings and my 25 years of experience with people suffering from radio wave electrohypersensitivity and radar-damaged members of the German Armed Forces – I support these demands:

So far, this demand for protection has not been ensured in the slightest by any government of the EU countries and by any state authority, e.g. by the governmental radiation protection organisations.

The limit value in the EU countries is a fictitious value that lacks any scientific basis.

It only refers to the thermal effect of non-ionising radiation. However, non-ionising radiation has a proven athermal effect. This is denied by the governments of the EU countries and their authorities in a non-scientific way.

The athermal effects of non-ionising radiation were first proven and published in 1932 (!!!) by the German physician Dr. Erwin Schließhake.

On 05.08.1932, the German physician Dr. Erwin Schließhake reported in the Deutsche Medizinische Wochenschrift (German Medical Weekly) about symptoms of radio wave syndrome he had noticed in workers who worked near radio transmitters.

Quotes:

"Severe weakness during the day.
But restless sleep at night.
Then headaches, which increase more and more until they become unbearable.
In addition, tendency to depressive mood and nervousness.
These phenomena cannot be explained by the effect of heat only."

In the USA, the non-thermal effect of non-ionising electromagnetic radio wave radiation was proven by many independent researchers and physicians as early as 1957-1974.

From 1957 to 1974, ten conferences on the biological and health-damaging effects of non-ionising electromagnetic radiation were held in the USA, and a vehement scientific dispute took place between the representatives of athermal and thermal effects. (see the literature list at the footnotes)

Already at the fourth of such conferences in Richmond in 1969, the representatives of athermal effects gained scientific dominance on the basis of hundreds of studies and animal experiments. At these conferences, Dr. Allan Frey in particular presented results that were later confirmed worldwide. For example, the dose-intensity reversal of the effects of EMF radiation. Dr Allan Frey commented:

"Electromagnetic fields are not a foreign substance for living beings, like lead or cyanide. With foreign substances, the higher the dose, the greater the effect: a dose-response relationship. Instead, living things are electrochemical systems that use low-frequency EMF in everything from protein folding to cellular communication to nervous system function." [Frey]

The inverse dose-response relationship of the influence on the electrophysiological processes of a living body, especially those of the brain versus chemical substances entering the living body, challenges the current principle of limit setting for electromagnetic radio wave radiation.

It has been proven that the weaker the field strength, the stronger the effect on CNS (brain) function.

In the years before, Dr. Allan H. Frey had studied the effect of high-frequency microwaves and found in animal experiments, among other things, that microwave impulses with an intensity of 0.03 mW/cm² very strongly influence the brain, especially the centres of the autonomic nervous system.

Dr. Alan Frey also presented results that showed that with very weak field strengths of non-ionising radiation, the blood-brain barrier is opened, i.e. destroyed.

The blood-brain barrier serves to protect against toxins entering the brain that are currently in the human environment, in the air, in water and in food. These toxins are given a free path into the brain by the destruction of the blood-brain barrier. This is another health-damaging factor of athermal non-ionising microwave radiation.

At the "Symposium on the Biological Effects and Health Implication of Microwave Radiation" in Richmond on September 17-19, 1969, it was decided to prepare a government report.

In December 1971, this report was available; it was named „A Programme for the Control of Electromagnetic Pollution“. It was prepared by experts appointed by the Office of Telecommunications Police (OTP) in 1968. Their report shows the environmental danger of the growing use of microwaves in technical communication and industry to an extent that was hardly known before.

The following is a quote from the government report:

"Unless adequate precautions and controls based on a fundamental understanding of the biological effects of electromagnetic radiation are put in place in the near future, humanity will enter an era of environmental energy pollution in the coming decades comparable to chemical pollution today. [...] The consequences of underestimating or ignoring the biological damage that could occur as a result of long-term exposure to radiation, even at low levels of continuous exposure, may one day be devastating to public health." [quoted by Brodeur 1980]

Almost 50 years have passed since this report, whose realisation was prevented by industry and the military. During this time, research has continued by industry-independent scientists, despite industry resistance.

During this time, thousands of studies by industry-independent scientists have demonstrated the athermal effects of non-ionising electromagnetic radio wave radiation.

In the former Soviet Union and in today's Russia, the limit value for protection against electromagnetic waves is a thousand times lower.

We, Hecht and Balzer [1997], carried out a research of the Russian-language literature from the period 1960-1997 in 1996/1997 on behalf of the Federal Office of Telecommunications (later regulatory authority, today Federal Network Agency) (order no. 4231/630402 of 14.11.1996). Subject: "Biological effects of electromagnetic fields in the frequency range 0-3 GHz on humans". Of more than 1,500 scientific papers reviewed, 878 were evaluated by us in an approx. 120-page research report. Above all, the results of long-term exposure of humans to EMF radiation over many years were taken into account from the point of view of occupational medicine and occupational hygiene.

This research report immediately disappeared in the archives of the Regulatory Authority of the time after it was handed over. It was also not forwarded to the Federal Ministry for the Environment, as had previously been envisaged.

The limit in the former Soviet Union and in today's Russia is 10³ (thousand times) lower than in Europe and is based on the athermal effect of non-ionising radiation. However, it was also not sufficiently conclusive when long-term effects over more than three years were studied.

As already mentioned, completely new criteria for setting limits for protection against EMF radiation must be established. This is urgently needed, especially when 5G is rolled out.

As a doctor, I have treated electrohypersensitive patients. In the last 20 years, more than 1,000 electro-sensitive patients have consulted me. I have provided medical and expert assistance to more than 100 radar-impaired soldiers of the German Armed Forces.

My scientific findings and practical experience have led to the conviction that all man-made electromagnetic radio wave radiation, regardless of the type, frequency and intensity, but depending on the duration of exposure, has harmful effects on health.

The German Federal Office for Radiation Protection still denies this today. But Telekom knows this.

Telekom warns against WLAN

In the brief operating instructions for the Telekom router Speedport Smart, the following text warns against 2.45 GHz Wi-Fi radiation for human health:

"The integrated antennas of your Speedport transmit and receive radio signals, e.g. for the provision of your Wi-Fi. Avoid installing your Speedport in the immediate area of bedrooms, children's rooms and recreation rooms in order to keep exposure to electromagnetic fields as low as possible."

Unfortunately, the warning is not heard. Especially in schools!!!

In France, the National Assembly has banned the use of EMF devices in schools.

EM hypersensitivity syndrome (EHS) – hypersensitivity to electromagnetic fields.

This is why it is also called electro allergy.

In 1994, the US-American physician Robert O. Becker described in his book "Healing Power and Danger of Electricity" the electrohypersensitivity syndrome (EHS) as radio wave-induced disturbances of the brain's functions.

Symptoms of EHS (main symptoms)

They flee from EMF radiation. I know many families who can only sleep in the basement. 5G will be hell for them!!!

Electromagnetic microwave beams are not perceptible. But they are present everywhere.

These devices radiate and cause electrohypersensitivity after weeks and years of daily irradiation:

Dr. Robert Becker also describes EHS in the case of Dr. William Rae, a doctor who worked as a surgeon in an operating theatre. He gave up his work as a surgeon and founded an EHS clinic where the problem is treated as a medical condition.

His Environmental Health Centre in Dallas, Texas, is probably the best-equipped clinic of its kind in the US. Patients are tested there for their reactions to various electromagnetic fields without being aware of it.

In most patients, a constant intolerance to very specific frequencies can be detected and quantified by objective measurements of activity of the nervous system. In this way, Dr. William Rae has been able to prove that the EM hypersensitivity syndrome is a real clinical condition. Unfortunately, this is not known by most European doctors. As a result, EHS patients feel misunderstood and become helpless. They are often referred to psychiatry with a nocebo effect.

Helplessness syndrome, the second noxious agent for electrohypersensitivity

Helplessness is the state of a person in which he or she can no longer act willingly, but is completely defenceless against a situation that he or she cannot change and that is beyond his or her control. Over a longer period of time, this can lead to depression, psychosomatic illnesses, distress and finally oncological illnesses, and in extreme cases even death.

EMF radiation a major risk for children

Children require very special protection from electromagnetic radio wave radiation, which must be shown in the limit value.

The child's organism reacts up to 10 times more sensitively to EMF radiation than the adult, because the development of the organs and functional systems is not yet complete. The duration of the maturation processes of the individual organs must be taken into account! The maturation process is completed:

Today's humans on our planet are, either temporarily or permanently, exposed to this radio wave radiation with health consequences

The following five EMF radio wave systems – Smartphone, DECT, Tetra, WLAN and Radar – represent a network of an enormous radiation load for mankind of today.

The 5G EMF radio wave system with tremendous beam network

Politicians and industry want to envelop our planet with 5G EMF radio wave transmitters by 2020 at the latest, so that nowhere on our planet will there be any radiation gaps. There will no longer be an EMF-free zone. This condition can be like torture for EHS patients. The 5G system sends 100 times more data with 100 times more intensity than the previous systems. This means that not only will weak intensities of non-thermal EMF radio waves have an effect, as with the previous ones, but the thermal components will also have an effective impact. A propaganda brochure from Ericson, the company that is to supply the equipment for Swisscom, gives a number of details about the 5G system. In the following graphs, the 5G system is briefly presented and compared with previous systems.

Until now:

5G is already installed in many cities without investigating the damage it causes to people's health and lives. Politicians and the telecom-industry claim without scientific evidence that 5G would not cause any damage to people's health.

Doctors and scientists, however, see things quite differently.

US professor Professor Martin L. Pall warns against 5G network: Risks due to increased activation of the body's calcium channels

5G as a serious global challenge. Health hazards of mobile radio. Solid evidence for eight different major health hazards posed by electromagnetic fields (EMF) and their mechanisms of action.

Over-activation of the voltage-dependent calcium channels of human cells leads to cardiac arrhythmias, oxidative stress, increased cell death, migraines, neurological effects and even infertility. According to the researcher, the safety tests carried out so far with regard to electromagnetic radiation from 5G have not yet taken these aspects into account.

Already in 2008, there were urgent recommendations to the EU from two EMF radiation experts:

"We strongly recommend that the EU does the following:

1) Take all reasonable measures to stop the propagation of high frequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF) from 5G until independent scientists can establish that for EU citizens 5G and all radiation intensities caused by RF-EMF (5G together with GSM, UMTS, LTE and WLAN) are not harmful, especially for infants, children and pregnant women, and for the environment.

2) Recommend that all EU countries, in particular their radiation protection authorities, comply with Resolution 1815 and educate their citizens, including teachers and doctors, about health risks from RF-EMF radiation and how and why wireless communications should be avoided, especially in/near e.g. day care centres, schools, homes, workplaces, hospitals and care facilities for the elderly.

3) Immediately appoint, without industry interference, an EU taskforce of independent, truly impartial scientists on EMF and health without conflicts of interest (1) to assess the health risks and:

a) Decide on new, safe "maximum total exposure limits" for all wireless communications within the EU.

b) Research the total and cumulative exposure of EU citizens.

c) Write rules to be prescribed/enforced within the EU on how to prevent the new "maximum overall exposure limits" from being exceeded within the EU. This applies with regard to all types of electromagnetic fields in order to protect citizens, especially infants, children and pregnant women.

4) Prevent the wireless communications/telecom industry, through its lobbying organisations, from persuading EU officials to make decisions on the further roll-out of radiofrequency radiation, including 5G, in Europe.

5) Favour and expand wired digital telecommunications.

We expect you to respond to the first two signatories mentioned above by 31 October 2017 at the latest on the measures you will take to protect EU residents from radiofrequency electromagnetic fields and in particular radiation from 5G. This appeal and your response will be publicly available.

(1) Avoid similar mistakes to those made by the Commission (2008/721/EC) when it appointed industry-backed members to the SCENIHR and submitted to the EU a misleading report on EU health risks that gave the telecoms industry a carte blanche to irradiate the population. The text is now being cited by radiation protection authorities in the EU.

Elon Musk Neuralink

"Neuralink", the invention announced by the mass media in August 2020 by Elon Musk, chief executive and founder of Tesla Inc, is the beginning of posthumanism.

In the media it was reported that Elon Musk is experimenting with a brain-computer interface implant on pigs. This is intended to connect a smartphone or computer to the functions of human brain cells. This implant, known as a "neuralink", will be the size of a coin and will be slipped through an incision in the scalp onto the top of the skull where it will grow in.

Musk: "Apart from a small scar under the hair, no traces will remain". Musk went on to explain that this smartphone brain communication technology can have many applications. For example, it can be used to treat pain, vision problems and spinal cord injuries.

From my point of view, this neuralink is a deep cut into the nature of Homo sapiens or, in the words of Christians, "into God's creation". The implant is supposed to be able to communicate with an app on a smartphone via Bluetooth radio. Musk's view on this is that "in the future, humans will have to link their brains to computers to keep up with the coming artificial intelligence". Musk: "It's a Fibrit with fine wires into their head," similar to the fitness trackers most often worn on the arm. [Sources: nbt 2020; Drew 2020; Cellan-Jones 2020; Holzki and Telgheder 2020].

The Neuralink is more or less a robot that can mentally direct humans and receive and transmit physical and mental function data from humans. In Figure 6, the function of the Neuralink is shown as a simplified sketch. The radio waves go from the smartphone to the neuralink. There, they are adaptively transformed for the planned function and fed into the electrical brain function. From there, the "response" to the applied information takes place and returns to the smartphone. Athermal weak electromagnetic fields establish connections to the brain cells between the smartphone and the implant via bioelectric brain cells and ensure feedback.

With this brain-smartphone interface "Neuralink", brain and smartphone or computer can be connected very arbitrarily and adapted to artificial intelligence. As a result, a human addiction to this technology is brought about, which is comparable to drug or alcohol addiction.

Wanting to use this system by Elon Musk for medical purposes also arouses great concern in me because the user lacks any medical knowledge. If the user wants to use this system against headaches, for example, he may do more harm than good. Medicine knows up to 150 causes for headaches. No layperson can assess them. Even today, the diagnostic nomenclature includes "headache caused by medication". Headache treatment with the Neuralink smartphone by the user can have unimaginable harmful consequences for the human brain that are irreparable.

Musk's Neuralink is already becoming a reality

Biotechnologist: "Without a brain chip, you will be a second-class human being. Writing e-mails by thought and connecting the brain to the internet – in the future, humans will become more and more technologised,” says researcher Markus Schmidt. [Berliner Zeitung, Elena Matera, 22.07.2021]

The human being as an expert in technology assessment

Musk's view that life should be linked to the computer in order to bring artificial intelligence in line with human intelligence is seen by Armin Grunwald, head of the Office of Technology Assessment at the German Bundestag, in his book: "Der unterlegene Mensch: Die Zukunft der Menschheit im Angesicht von Algorithmen, künstlicher Intelligenz und Robotern [riva premium]", (The Inferior Human: The Future of Humanity in the Face of Algorithms, Artificial Intelligence and Robots ) as a danger to humanity because with digitalisation and the total surveillance of the human mind, all democracy will be eliminated, with the following quote [page 186-189].

"What would happen if democracy were replaced by a dictatorship in our country? The digital infrastructure would remain completely in place. It could then be used by the new authorities without any democratic control. And what for, if not to support the dictatorship through total surveillance!

This is frightening: never in the history of mankind have the technical conditions for a total dictatorship been as good as they are today. Against our digital surveillance technologies, everything Hitler, Stalin or Mao had to offer was not much more than children's toys – and any trivialisation is extremely far from my mind."

On the back of the book by Armin Grunwald, Germany's leading technology impact assessor, you can read following text:

"Everyone is talking about digitalisation. Wonderful prospects for the future are being sketched out. Comfort and prosperity, more health and possibly digital immortality await us. But these new conveniences are only one side of the coin."

"Increasing dependence on digital technologies, the risk of total surveillance, robots taking over human jobs on a massive scale, the manipulation of public opinion, the threatening loss of human control over technology – this other side shows ominous features."

This is a very serious warning from an expert and true expert on digitalisation to the irresponsible supporters of the digitalisation dictatorship.

In his Book “Bewusstseins- und Gedankenkontrolle”, [“Mind and Thought Control”] Michaeln Verlag, 2007, Nick Begich cites 27 USA patents on this subject.

We must always repeat the true so that humanity does not believe the lies because they hear them every day. For example, the fallacy (lie) that electromagnetic radio wave radiation from all technical systems does not cause any damage to health and is harmless to all people, including children.
