Have your say - LIFE Programme 2014-2020
You can also get involved in forming EU laws. The European Commission would like to hear your views on laws and policies currently in development. They offer a platform "Have your say" with the list of all new EU initiatives open for public consultation. You need to register to write your feedback.
https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/better-regulation/have-your-say
There are always 5 stages of each EU initiative, each stage is open for public consultation for a specific time frame:
In preparation
Call for evidence
Public consultation
Draft act
Commission adoption
Environmental protection – LIFE Programme 2014-2020 (evaluation)
About this initiative: The LIFE programme co-finances environment and climate-action projects in the EU. This evaluation will assess:
- whether the programme is working as intended
- the extent to which the programme’s objectives have been realised.
Feedback period: for stage 2 it was 16 March 2022 - 13 April 2022
Feedback from Europeans for Safe Connections
We "Europeans for Safe Connections" are worried about continuing biodiversity loss. Worldwide, the number of insects is decreasing at an alarming rate. Many studies* point to another influencing factor besides the already known pesticides: the increasingly frequent use of radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF EMF).
LIFE Programme 2014-2020 did not focus on RF EMF which are a form of environmental pollution that harms wildlife, such as reducing their natural defenses, degrading their health, causing problems with reproduction, and reducing their useful range by destroying their habitat.
We strongly suggest that in the next LIFE 2021-2027 more projects related to RF EMF are supported, such as:
• Reducing "Waste from Electrical and Electronical Equipment" (WEEE), other waste products, and the environmental impacts of mining for rare earth minerals and metals used in electronical equipment;
• Reducing the massive electricity consumption caused by digital communication technology, e.g. by prioritizing wired solutions and low energy solutions;
• Monitoring of all biological harmful parameters of RF EMF and their impact on fauna and flora.

EHTrust in the article "Study Finds Wireless Radiation Affects On Wildlife"
(ehtrust.org/study-finds-wireless-radiation-effects-wildlife)
explains that researchers published the 150-page report containing three sections of how wildlife could be harmed by the non-ionizing RF EMF.
1. Part one of the review examined how RF EMF has radically increased in recent decades in the environment.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34047144/
2. Part two looked at how living organisms are impacted by RF EMF. It reveals how “effects have been observed in mammals such as bats, cervids, cetaceans, and pinnipeds among others, and on birds, insects, amphibians, reptiles, microbes and many species of flora.”
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34243228/
3. Part three focuses on RF EMF exposure limits, and the prospect for new regulation to help better protect living beings.
