Have your say - Livestock health

You can also get involved in forming EU laws. The European Commission would like to hear your views on laws and policies currently in development. They offer a platform "Have your say" with the list of all new EU initiatives open for public consultation. You need to register to write your feedback.

https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/better-regulation/have-your-say

There are always 5 stages of each EU initiative, each stage is open for public consultation for a specific time frame:

  1. In preparation

  2. Call for evidence

  3. Public consultation

  4. Draft act

  5. Commission adoption

Feedback from Europeans for Safe Connections

We "Europeans for Safe Connections" are concerned that animals are increasingly being harmed. Animals are neglected by the way we farm and the way we treat nature. Telecommunication industry is building antennas and transmitters near farms which can  make the animals thrive less and they may end up sick. There is no regulation in the proceeding of mobile-radio-industry in relation to animal welfare.

Professor Buchner studied a pig farm, where a mobile phone base station was installed at a distance of about 300 meters from the farm: https://www.emf-portal.org/en/article/25708

The fertility of the pigs decreased from 2,908 farrows per year to 2,576. At the same time, the average number of piglets born alive was reduced from 10.8 to 9.8 per litter.

Only a few months after the beginning of the transmission, the number of hermaphrodites increased by a factor >12. In addition, congenital abnormalities in the areas of head, abdomen and legs occurred, which were never seen before on this farm. The gender ratio of male to female animals also decreased significantly among the newborn piglets.

On another farm the mast was 20 meters away in the immediate vicinity of the cow pasture. Miscarriages and stillbirths increased and blood counts of the cows showed extremely low values for white blood cells (leukocytes).

Animals have always been indicators of a poor and polluted state of the environment, which ultimately also affects us humans.
